Munson Lab awarded an NIH supplement to translate glioma work to Alzheimer's

We are excited to announce that we have been awarded a supplement grant from the National Institutes of Health to begin translating our work on interstitial fluid flow in glioma to neurodegenerative diseases, specifically, Alzheimer's Disease. Working with Dr. Ian Kimbrough and Dr. Michelle Olsen (Virginia Tech Neuroscience) we will develop new 3D in vitro models of Alzheimer's and conduct intravital imaging to measure flow rates and transport properties during disease progression. Graduate students Kinsley Tate and Caleb Stine will be working towards goals on this project as well. Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward into the unknown (for us).
